What's in the Sea Moss Duo?
Daily Duo: Wildcrafted Irish Sea Moss, raw and sun-dried, 4oz (113g), plus Mineral Complex Capsules, 1-Month (60 capsules). Value Duo: Wildcrafted Irish Sea Moss 8oz (226g) total, packed as two 4oz boxes, plus Mineral Complex Capsules, 3-Month (1 glass bottle + 2 refill pouches, 180 capsules). The sea moss is dried and needs to be soaked and blended at home. Ready-made Sea Moss Gel is not included.
How do I make Sea Moss gel?
Rinse the raw Sea Moss thoroughly 3-5 times. Soak it in spring water with a squeeze of lemon or lime for 12-24 hours (or in boiling water for 15-20 minutes). Blend it with the soaking water, adding more water for your preferred texture. Store the gel in an airtight container and refrigerate or freeze it straight away: it keeps for 2-3 weeks in the fridge and about 6 months in the freezer.
How many servings are in each product?
Raw Sea Moss 4oz makes about 60 servings of gel. Mineral Complex Capsules 1-Month contains 60 capsules: 30 servings at 2 capsules a day, or 15 servings at 4 a day. Suggested use is 2-4 tablespoons (30-60ml) of gel per day, or 2-4 capsules per day with a meal.
Are the products organic and lab tested?
Our Raw Irish Sea Moss and 102 Mineral Complex Capsules are certified organic and lab tested for nutritional quality and heavy metal analysis. You can view our lab tests and organic certifications from the Learn menu.
Are the products vegan? Do they contain allergens or gluten?
Both products are free from dairy and animal products, so they are vegan friendly. We clean our Sea Moss carefully before packaging, but cannot guarantee it is 100% free from traces of shellfish. We also take extreme caution to remove all traces of molluscs or seashells from the capsules, but cannot guarantee they are 100% free of them. All capsule ingredients are gluten-free, but the capsules are packaged in a facility that handles nuts, seeds and gluten.
Can I have the Sea Moss Duo if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
All of our superfood ingredients are certified organic and contain only the highest quality of natural ingredients. However, we always recommend that you speak with your health care provider if you are pregnant in case there are any specific reasons why you should not consume our products or certain ingredients.
Can I take these products while on medications?
If you take thyroid medication, consult with your doctor or dietician before implementing Sea Moss products as its iodine content may not react well with the medication.
Otherwise, there aren't any known risks, but we always recommend speaking with your current health care provider who is better equipped to give you more personalized advice based upon your personal situation.
Where do you source your ingredients from?
Our Organic Sea Moss and Bladderwrack are sourced off the Atlantic coast of Ireland by local family businesses that have been operating for several generations. Our Organic Burdock Root is sourced from Bulgaria. The capsules are manufactured in Portugal.
